How to register .NO domain name with and/or without physical presence in Norway
- First of all, please visit our .NO TLD designated page at https://web-solutions.eu/no-domain-name-registration.htm and get familiar with regulations and current prices.
- Enter your desired domain name into the domain search box and press the Search button.
- Confirm the domain availability and price.
*You can click the domain status to once again check the complete domain regulations for Norway.
- Add your domain to the cart by clicking the checkbox and proceed to checkout.
- Choose the registration type and specify your DNS.
In order to register the domain name through our Local Presence Service, choose the second option.
The total amount includes both the domain registration and the Local Presence Service fees.*Remember to set DNS properly before your order is confirmed. Otherwise, Web Solutions` default name servers will be used. You will be able to change them later.
- Go to the next step and create new account or sign in to the existing one.
*Your login information will be sent in a separate e-mail to the address you have entered above.
- Choose the payment method, read and accept Terms & Conditions and click the order confirmation button.
*It is possible to pay either by Credit Card or Wire Transfer.
- When the order has been completed, the Support Team will contact you to give you an update on the current registration status.
.NO domain names available to everyone
As a result of the public consultation, in which the majority were in favour of making the top-level domain .NO available to private individuals, everyone in Norway will be able to register domain names directly under the .NO extension beginning 17 June 2014.
Until now, registration of domain names directly within the .NO extension has been available to businesses and other organizations while a separate domain, .PRIV.NO, has been reserved for individuals.
