As of December 14th 2009, the .cn registry have opted to significantly change its previously very liberal registration procedure. This is done in order to “further enhance the authenticity, accuracy, and integrality of the domain name registration information”. In other words, fend off registrations by non-existing persons or entities.
Domain name applicants now need to submit formally signed application material, including copies of company business license and personal ID.
No restrictions. Anyone can register any amount of Chinese .CN domains.
