Last year, trademark holders around the world filed 2,696 complaints with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Centre. That is a 28 percent increase since 2009, and 16 percent more than the previous record set in 2008.
According to Awapatent A/S, the decisions reached by the Arbitration Centre show clearly, that it pays to protest against unauthorised domain registrations.
