While there are no formal procedures in place, after submitting your order for a .CY domain , you may be asked by the Cyprus Authorities to verify your identity by providing the following documents to our Support Team:
• Corporate owners: Business Registration Certificate (and VAT number for non-Cyprus but European Union resident companies).
• Individual owners: Copy of the representative's ID or passport.
The Applicant is solely responsible for ensuring that the proposed domain does not infringe on any intellectual property rights, Cypriot laws, or international conventions.

Business Registration certificate of the owner may be required, if the owner is a legal entity.
Additionally, for companies outside of Cyprus, the company VAT number may be required.
Copy of the ID/passport of the owner’s representative may be required, if the owner is an individual.
If your company is based outside of Cyprus, you may be required to verify your identity and send relevant documents to our fulfillment team, after having submitted your order.
