Trustee service for Australian .AU domain names
The Trustee Service is provided 'as is', with no guarantees.
After successful registration, we will issue a User Certificate , which describes your rights as underlying owner, and the terms under which we are providing the Local Presence Service. Contact us for a sample certificate.
All applications for Trustee Service will be subjected to a due diligence check before we can approve these. Basically, we will check that the domains are not in obvious violation of local law of registered rights such as company names or trademarks.
There should never be any problems with domains that reflect unique company names or products/services. Domain names related to gambling, erotic content, chat rooms, classifieds and other risky categories of names may be acceptable given that cetain terms are met, but we reserve the right to charge a higher annual fee for the Trustee Service. You will of course be informed of such higher charge, so you can approve it in advance.
When you wish to place an order, simple let us know the domain name and its intended use. We will then do our due diligence checks, and let you know if we can accept it.
Trademark:
We strongly recommend that you register matching trademarks in support of your .AU domains with Trustee Service. This is a very good investment, as it will secure the domains against complaints from local competitors and other parties. The protection kicks in already at the time of filing a trademark application.
