Web Solutions administers domain names on behalf of clients worldwide. We are seeking a System Administrator for our development office in Szczecin.
You will be given responsibilities for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of our network, hardware, operating systems and related infrastructure. Through technical research and development, you will work to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
Most servers are located in Server Centers in Poland and Denmark, and are operated remotely.
We expect that you have experience in installing, maintaining, upgrading and expanding existing system architecture. As well as planning for, monitoring and responding to service breakdowns and other problems.
– A higher level IT education or a technician diploma combined with solid experience background
– Experience with web server virtualization / VMware or similar
– Demonstrated skills in defining & testing system quality, performance & stability standards.
– Experience with SQL or MySQL applications
– Very good English skills, writing/speaking.
– Experience with project management.
– Proficiency in web based programming languages (VB, PHP, ASP, C#, JavaScript)
– Knowledge of scripting or light programming (Perl, Python, Bash)
– Network architect skills
Through past projects you have gained a solid knowhow of System Administration for Internet platforms. You are able to work theoretically, but just as importantly you have a practical mind that value producing results within given deadlines. You work just as well alone as in a team, and you are generally interested in the prospect of working with colleagues from another country.
